So 2025 has come and gone in a flash. As you all know, the end of last year was…really hard on me. Due to sudden job loss in October, multiple illnesses in November, I entered December a bit exhausted but overall, optimistic.
Especially with Kiddo’s birthday party! He had a great time at the trampoline park with all of his friends and I felt like maybe, just maybe, I got this mom thing right.
Then he got the flu.
Then I got the flu.
Then hubby, despite his best efforts…also got the flu.
It was bad; apparently this flu was notorious for being particularly bad and resilient against vaccines. The symptoms lasted for weeks.
The worst part was…being unable to fully enjoy homemade from scratch chocolate cake with homemade strawberry jam. It smelled so good and I had one slice…
Then nothing else…sad
However, with the new year comes improved…or at least recovered health and new hope. This is overdue…but happy new year. More stuff is coming my way and yours!
…I also finally got a new job! So things are looking up!
